The school employs fully qualified, certified and experienced teachers from various countries around the world. IST's international flavor is reflected in the staff, which represents seven nationalities with a predominance of American, Canadian and British teachers. The teaching staff is carefully selected with an eye towards proven skills and ability, professional competence and superb qualifications. All teachers hold University degrees and are certified in their country of origin.

In the Early Childhood Section (PN-K) each teacher has a full-time assistant. Special programs in the Elementary and Middle School sections include Physical Education, Computer Studies, E.S.L., Library Studies, Music, and Art. Students in Grades 1-10 study Italian with qualified local instructors. German, French or Spanish are offered in the Middle and High School and Latin is studied in Grades 7 thorugh 10.

Our excellent staff and close contact between teachers and parents guarantee the school’s superior program. All teachers have weekly conference times and Parent-Teacher Evenings are held after each quarterly report card. A weekly newsletter keeps parents informed of all school happenings.

In addition to our teaching staff, the school employs a Building Manager, Secretary, Receptionist, cleaning staff, kitchen staff, security guards and a maintenance man.
